The Crowne Plaza Dundalk launched their new The RoofTop Restaurant last Friday in superb style with an opening night that showcased their new menu, craft bears, cocktails and most importantly their signature miniature desserts!
We were met with a fabulous wine and Prosecco reception with cocktails and craft beers also available, catering to all tastes. The room has been transformed to a tranquil teal with elegant silver table tops and fabulous center pieces, that I personally want for my home.
There is a Jazz band every Friday evening, which were playing on the night of the grand opening. Now I never thought I was a Jazz fan and will not claim to know much about that genre of music, but what I can tell you is that they set the tone of the evening beautifully and I thoroughly enjoyed their dulcet sounds providing the soundtrack for the night.
Although I don’t drink beer, my friends on they night kindly offered to sample the handpicked range of craft beers and assured me they are delicious. Cocktails, I drink, and again they were fantastic, maybe a little too easy to drink.
There was a constant flow of canapés that allowed you to sample their redesigned menu, but what stole the show was the mini selection of desserts. Each one was just as good as the last, and I am more a savory person. The Ferrero Rocher was simply divine and a personal favorite amongst my group (I had two!).
The Crowne Plaza Dundalk say the miniature desserts are “a nod to the old-fashioned sweet trolley – a treat not to be missed” and I could not have put it better myself.
With Christmas nights out just around the corner, The Rooftop Restaurant will cater to your festive needs with live music, cocktails, good food and friendly and efficient staff.
It is also the perfect spot for an intimate date night or for a get together with friends, to relax and indulge in some quality food and even better desserts, before a night out in Dundalk, as it is just a stones throw away from the Town Center.
The menu offers something for everyone, with mouthwatering meat dishes, locally sourced fish and delectable desserts (have I mentioned the desserts yet!). For a PDF of the menu click here

*The Crowne Plaza Dundalk kindly gave me permission to use their professional photos, taken by Three Colour Photography. I only had my phone with me and my own photo’s did not do the RoofTop Restaurant justice.
*This is not a paid post, I was invited and offered to do a blog post as I enjoyed my evening and like to support businesses in my local area.
